THAILAND

Thailand is a country in South East Asia with a population of approximately 65 million people. One west coast faces the Andaman sea and the Indian ocean, the other west coast faces the Gulf of Thailand Thailand also has east and south facing coasts facing the gulf of Thailand. To the east Thailand borders Laos and Cambodia. To the north and west it borders with Myanmar (formerly known as Burma). To the south Thailand also borders with Malaysia. Most Thais are Buddhists although there are many Muslims in the south.

Thailand is well known as a tourist destination. It is also famous for it's food and fragrant rice.

Thailand retains a monarchy. The king is held in very high regard by Thai people.
