The Philippines is a country made up of a large group of over 7,000 islands (archipelago) in South East Asia with a population of approximately 90 million Filipinos. Visitors will notice strong Spanish and US influences in the Philippines.

Philippine Jeepney

I have visited Manila many times, but not the rest of the Philippines. I find Manila to be one of the least inspiring capital cities in Asia from an architectural perspective and Philippine cuisine to be equally unexciting. However I always enjoy going there. The otherwise drab city is made colourful by brightly painted jeepneys and the super friendliness of the Filipinos.
