MALAYSIA

Malaysia is a country in South East Asia with a population of approximately 25 million people. West Malaysia lies on the Malay peninsula, it's west coast faces the Andaman sea and the Indian ocean, the east coast faces the South China Sea. In the north it borders Thailand, while in the south it is linked to Singapore by a causeway and a bridge. East Malaysia is situated on the northern part of the island of Borneo. To the north it faces the South China Sea, where it also borders with Brunei. To the north east is the Sulu Sea. To the south, East Malaysia borders with Indonesia.

The most populous race is the Malays, followed by the Chinese. The largest religious group is Muslim.

Malaysia cultivates palm products such as oil and pineapples. It is well known for the Petronas twin towers in Kuala Lumpur (KL) and it's own brand of car, the Proton. Malaysia also hosts Formula one (F1) motor racing at the Sepang circuit, which is situated close to the modern KL International Airport (KLIA).
