Certain things particularly annoy or disgust me, but some other things I really appreciate. Here I list things I like. If you want to see what I dislike click the link on the left.

1. The very considerate Japanese habit of wearing a facemask when you have a cough or cold, to avoid spreading germs to others.

2. In many Asian countries after taking a crap, people wash their arse/ass clean with water. This seems to be much more hygienic than the Western habit of trying to wipe the shit off with a piece of paper. After living in Asia for a while, I always carry wet wipes with me when I visit Western countries, to ensure I can clean myself up properly.

3. Restaurants which have a spotless kitchen on view behind a piece of glass and who are staffed with people who demonstrate high standards of hygiene.

4. Restaurants where the tablecloths, glasses and cutlery are spotless and nicely laid out.

5. People who dispose of their litter properly.
